Beat learned that over 400,000 copies have been ordered for the first issue of Jeph Loeb/Jim Lee Classic’s sequel, Batman H2SH.
While we usually keep the resources private, in this case we can reveal that this is DC Comics’ post on Bluesky.
Wow! The world without sales Charts™ has just received a bold new show! The actual announced sales number contains graphics!
“Congratulations to Jeph Loeb, @Jimlee.bsky.social, Scott Williams, @Sinccolor.bsky.social, @Richstarkings.bsky.social and our amazing cover artists,” the post reads, “Ordered over 400,000 Batman #158, Chapter 158, Chapter 158, Chapter 158, Chapter 1” H2SH! ”!”.
Given the strong work of the team, all participants, of course, the first Hush’s status as an essential Batman story, is a nice number. It matches the 2024 best journal comic, Absolute Batman #1, which also sold over 400,000 copies. Where is H2SH ranking in 2025’s journal comics so far? OK, maybe #1? We don’t know because we don’t have charts, only leaks and guesses. DC does announce that the absolute Batman #1 is the highest comic of the year, but 400,000 figures come from an unverified leak.
The announcement is a bold shot of DC across the bow. To invest in the image Image’s ongoing monthly sales rankings, you can see publishers are eager to spread their success stories through Hook or Crook. Marvel and DC are believed to be the most silly people participating in any sales rollup, but perhaps more publishers will follow Image’s wake and start to touting their top dozens.
Hush 2 – now known as H2SH – debuted in the regular Batman Championship, making its debut in Batman #158 on March 26. The second six arc in 2026 will complete this story. The original Hush is about Batman’s new arch, whose identity is revealed only after 12 issues of intense storytelling and bat pain. There are very few details about H2SH…Who doesn’t like surprises?
However, the book looks spectacular, as shown in the preview page released a few days ago.

Congratulations to DC for its success – and their public Mosey.
