Nothing particularly pioneering happens here when Batman defeats the bad guys and saves a day, but it’s never boring to watch him figure out what to do. The aircraft sequence in this question may not reach the height of the earlier problems of Zdarsky and Jiménez’s Run, where Batman freely landed on Earth from the moon and survived, but it was still a very satisfying event. Jim Gordon also caught the eye in this storyline, with the Zdarsky script being an effective conclusion scene between Batman and Gordon, strengthening the power of their friendship.
Jiménez and Daniel make the actions and introspection particularly pleasant to both. The colors of Tomeu Morey undoubtedly help add visual coherence to the lines. “Dying City” is a story, with four artists in five questions – Carmine di giandomenico and Jorge Fornés Solved previous installments – All are top-notch visual storytellers.
