Want more Peaky Blinders after series six ends? Well, you’re in luck, because the plan is to make a movie (distributed by Netflix) that sums it all up. Rebecca Ferguson, Cillian Murphy’s “Mission: Impossible” and “Dune,” recently joined the cast. Now, Barry Keoghan has added even more star power to the band.
The news was released via Deadline without providing further details about his and Ferguson’s roles. That said, considering they’re busy with big screen work right now, their inclusion suggests the long-running storyline of Tommy Shelby and Peaky Blinders may be saving the best for last.

British director Tom Harper (The Aviator, Hearts of Stone) is directing the film, which we understand will be released exclusively on Netflix. While the idea of turning Peaky Blinders’ finale into a big-screen event might be tempting, the streaming giant has been very adamant about its release strategy, with few films getting the (limited) theatrical treatment.
Plot details remain a secret, but the conclusion is being penned by show creator Steven Knight, who previously told the outlet the story would be set during World War II. It remains to be seen. Production is expected to begin later this year, so we don’t expect it to arrive before the end of 2025.
Keoghan has been a joy to watch in recent movies and shows like Saltburn and Apple TV’s Air Masters, but it may be his role in 2022’s Inishereen that puts everyone in the know We should pay attention to him. He’ll likely reappear in Matt Reeves’ The Batman sequel, as he’s playing the Batman universe’s version of the Joker, but for now (after the failure of Marvel Studios’ The Eternals), he’s Enjoy a healthy and diverse career filled with alternative projects instead.
As for Knight, Lucasfilm is reportedly still in cahoots with him as he continues to write and refine the script for the upcoming Star Wars movie starring Daisy Ridley, which ends with The Rise of Skywalker events as background.
