Warning: Spoilers for “Baldur’s Gate 3”, especially the part where Will is involved or may appear, so stay tuned.
With Baldur’s Gate 3’s 7th Edition patch and a host of other post-launch additions and tweaks, Larain has become the pinnacle of the game – but it’s not quite finished yet – and has delivered on many of the things fans wanted implemented in the base game. Features, or features you want to improve. However, some Wyll superfans feel that the studio isn’t doing as much for him, and some modders have now decided to try and rectify that themselves.
This isn’t the first time someone in the BG3 community has taken stock of what’s going on post-Patch 7 and wants Larian to do more of an aspect of the game they like. Just the other week, a group of Dechi streamers began asking the developers to revise some of their companion reactions to key scenes.

Taking Wyll stans as an example, the two modders responsible for Magnetuning and Aimryax decided to adopt a DIY approach to get more of the game content they wanted, and they started a project called “Wyll Cinematic”. ”. Basically, this will be a series of mods that add to the existing amount of content for those who choose to romance Border Blade, or simply want to spend more time with him.
The first part of the project has just been released and it’s ‘Brightest Star – A New Act 3 Romance Scene For Wyll’, a mod that lives up to its name perfectly, Magnetuning writes about the scene – you can watch the demo below – have your own voice lines, these voice lines are spliced together from the existing voice lines in the game, “bringing back [Wyll’s] Early access embraces animation and allows you to comfort him after key story moments.”
The scenario is currently locked to the Dock Camp, and in order to obtain it you need to follow/have followed some specific lines of action in the game, which Magnetic Tweaks helpfully lists in the mod’s description.
The brief also provides an in-depth overview of why Magnetuning and Aimryax decided to participate in the project. “The first reason is out of love for Will, a wonderful character with a compelling narrative and tender romance,” the modder writes. “However, the second reason is that Larian The result of abuse and neglect of Will.
“Of the six origins, Weir has the least amount of content at approximately eight hours, followed by Kalach, who has ten hours, and Astarion, who has twelve hours of content. This neglect not only reflects The difference is not in content, but in what is done after publishing.
“The game has been out for over a year, but this content disparity has yet to be resolved in any significant way, and Will continues to suffer major bugs, from missing subtitles for a third-act party joke to inappropriate markings of his reactions by companions. Patch 7, while promising to fix bugs and add more content for him, does little to actually address the content differences and issues affecting him.
So, we’ll have to see what other cool stuff the pair ends up making, especially since Aimryax suggested in a Reddit post that they’re considering reaching out to Will’s actor Theo Liston to see if he’d be willing to open up Or be able to do some paid voice work for that.
