Already shaking up the world on PC, Baldur’s Gate 3’s super-powerful Patch 7 is now coming to consoles and Mac, bringing with it a host of changes and additions – including mods. Larian’s has released another fantastic animated short to celebrate the latter, and urges you to slap your magic-filled thong on your loading order to get started.

The patch arrived on PC last month. Make sure you bring your reading glasses, I’m keeping this relatively brief but I’m not a miracle worker.

“Today’s update also brings Hotfix 26 and Hotfix 27 to all platforms,” Larian wrote in his community update on the development. “Far from being our last patch, you can still look forward to more updates in Baldur’s Gate. 3″ saw cross-play and photo modes.
It added that patch 7 so far has seen PC players download “over 15 million” mods via the official toolkit, of which “over 1,000” mods have been uploaded. How do you celebrate? Well, in this case, through some superb PR, here’s another really nice BG3 animated short where the party members we all know and love get up to mischief.

The game, called Baldur’s Gate 3: Mod Mayhem, sees the group take on mod wizards. He filled the city with giant rabbits flying around on CD cases, vaguely reminding me of Yosemite Sam. Anyway, spoiler alertafter he gave her a nose, Raizel brutally murdered him with a power tool. Gale and Astarion also boast some gruesome cosmetics in various places, while Shadowheart transforms into a cat lady because, you know, mods.
While users on a given console can only download a select set of mods and be able to build them using a toolkit locked to PC, Larian also gives you a console mod guide and recommends a bunch of mods group, which gives you a solid foundation.
One of them is Xelphos’ “Ritual Bra,” which gives you “a collection of magical bras that grant the wearer the ability to shapeshift, read minds, talk to and understand animals, and converse with the dead.” Mods.
