Hours after its release, Lionsgate released the trailer Megacity This is clearly a “shot at the haters” with some negative references to director Francis Ford Coppola’s previous work. That’s because reports like this one come from vulture’s Bilge Ebiri showed that critics were quoted in the trailer as harshly criticizing the film, e.g. godfather and apocalypse now fabricated.
“Lionsgate immediately recalled our trailer Megacity“, a Lionsgate spokesperson said in a statement type. “We sincerely apologize to the critics involved, to Francis Ford Coppola, and to American Zoetrope for the inexcusable errors that occurred during our review process. We screwed up. We’re sorry.
All this led some to immediately wonder whether the quotes were generated by tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Chatbots, specifically ChatGPT, will create references in responses to queries that contain quotes or even fake URLs for content that never existed. One notable example was a case earlier this year in which a lawyer cited a non-existent judicial decision. The lawyer admitted to using ChatGPT for research and said he had “no knowledge that its content could be false.”
We’ve asked Lionsgate if it used generative AI tools when creating the trailer, but haven’t heard back yet.
type It was also reported that a comment from one of its staff members was misquoted in the trailer Dracula played by Bram Stoker A quote attributed to Roger Ebert Dracula The review is actually from 1989 Batman.
