Azuki, anime-themed Web3 brand, has announced Alley Escape, a new event scheduled for July 5 in Los Angeles, California.
Although details remain limited, the event coincides with the 2025 Anime Expo, which suggests that it may be timed with fans participating in one of the world’s largest anime routines.
Previous Azuki events have attracted the attention of Web3 and the wider anime community, blending in-person activations with digital stories.

What is an animation fair?
The Animation Fair is an annual conference in Los Angeles that showcases Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, video games and role-playing. Organized by the Promotion of Japan Animation Association (SPJA), it has attracted hundreds of thousands of participants from all over the world.
The 2025 Animation Fair will take place from July 3 to July 6, allowing Azuki’s Alley to escape a wider range of cultural events and party weekends.
According to SPJA, the 2024 event attracted 400,000 participants from 64 countries, with an estimated $100 million economic impact on the city of Los Angeles.

What are our expectations for Azuki during the event?
The specific show for Alley Escape has not been disclosed and registration is not open yet, but more details are expected to be released through Azuki’s official channels, including Twitter/X and its Discord community.
To date, Azuki has hosted only three formal events: the 2022 party in Los Angeles, the two-day immersive installation in New York City at the NFL in 2022 in New York City, and the 2023 event in Las Vegas, related to the Elementals Collection release. These are all designed to extend Azuki’s brand storytelling into the physical world, often including musical performances, real-time wallet integrations and unique merchandise.
With the Anime Expo expected to attract thousands of fans into downtown Los Angeles, Azuki’s presence may or may not include other forms of activation, working with Anime.com and $Anime.com and $Anime tag projects.
