Every network is different, and CBS is proving that today with the release of its fall 2024 schedule. While we TV fanatics long for a return to our favorite shows like Elsbeth, Blue Bloods, NCIS, and FBI, CBS wants to keep us salivating for more a little longer. CBS premiere week officially kicks off on Monday, October 14, with NCIS Season 22 and the Gibbs prequel series NCIS: Origins (produced by Mark Harmon Narrator) two-hour premiere. Over the next four nights, FBI, Ghost, Elsbeth, SWAT, Fire Nation and Blue Bloods will return, plus a Young Sheldon spin-off Premiere of “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.” A week later, “The Neighborhood” returns to theaters on Mondays and will introduce Wayans’ new family comedy “Poppa’s House.” CBS’ last two premieres, “Tracker” and “The Equalizer,” will air on Sunday, October 27. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Friday that its website is now open for submissions for consideration for the 2025 Academy Awards. The Academy is currently accepting general entries (Best Picture and other categories), animated features, animated shorts, documentaries, documentary shorts, international features, live-action shorts, original scores and original songs. Deadline for submissions is between August 15 and November 14, depending on the category submitted and the dates of its qualifying rounds.
