Google is increasing the minimum quality requirements for Android apps and will soon remove apps from the Play Store that do not meet expectations. According to the company’s latest spam policy update, the Play Store will no longer allow apps that display “limited functionality and content” (such as text-only apps, single-wallpaper apps, or those that don’t actually do anything at all) Effective August 31st.These restrictions are combined with existing restrictions to prohibit corrupted applications that become unresponsive, fail to install, crash, or otherwise behave erratically.
