Agatha has alwaysa spin-off of another Disney+ series from the upcoming Disney+ series (Wanda Vision) This is a Marvel spin-off Avengers Movie, Premieres on the streaming service on September 18th. The show follows protagonist Agatha (played by Kathryn Hahn) as she attempts to regain her powers as a witch after losing a magical battle with Wanda Maximoff. In order to regain her magical abilities, Agatha creates her own coven of witches, which includes actors such as Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sahil Zamata, and Debra Jo Rupp . Premiere red carpet Agatha has alwayswe learned that there may be some extracurricular There’s a rally going on—a queer romance, that is.
During the premiere, type Red carpet reporter Mark Malkin tells Plaza he heard Agatha has always It’s “the gayest Marvel project yet.”
“It better be, because that’s what I signed up for,” Plaza quipped after a playful roll of her neck.
In the show, Plaza plays a green witch (usually an herbalist and healer) named Rio Vidal, who has a long history with Agatha. It’s clear from the trailer that there’s some magic between the two, with Malkin describing their chemistry as “law and order meet basic instinct meet boundary“. “You speak my language,” Praza replied. “All of that, yes. More, more, more.” Malkin then asked if the show was getting more gay as it went on, to which Praza responded: “Yes, honey, But I can’t tell you how. I can’t tell you anything. But yeah, it’s going to be a gay explosion.
Plaza has a reputation for being playful in interviews, so she may be exaggerating the show’s queerness—but I hope she isn’t! Witches have long been a persecuted group of people cast out of society for being different (or women falsely accused of witchcraft for daring to defy social norms), so there’s always been a clear cultural overlap between magicians and the queer community . Modern witches see their skills as reclaiming power, something LGBTQIA+ can appreciate.
Plus, Praza and Hahn are both hilarious, sexy, talented women—why not give us a lesbian love story between two of the most interesting actors of our time? I feel incredible about this.
Agatha has alwaysFirst two episodes premiere Airs September 18 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+. The series will then release one episode each week until Halloween week, when the final two episodes will air back-to-back. ‘Tis the season for creeps, bitches.
