The next affordable handheld device in Blaze Entertainment’s Super Pocket series will be available on October 22nd. Super Pocket Atari and Technical version Priced at $60 each, they were recently available for pre-order on Amazon. The Atari version comes with 50 classic games pre-installed, and the Technos version comes with 15 games pre-installed. But what’s really cool about the Super Pocket line is that it’s a spin-off of Blaze’s Evercade brand, and each Super Pocket has a cartridge slot that supports a collection of more than 50 retro games from the ever-expanding Evercade cartridge line.

Essentially affordable Evercade, these compact handheld devices feature 2.8-inch IPS displays, work with existing Evercade cartridges, and have a simple user interface to get you into your favorite games quickly. Support for Evercade cartridges is a big part of Super Pocket’s appeal, as it gives you access to a library of more than 500 games on 50 cartridges, including remasters of classic games Duke Nukem Gamefirst three Tomb Raider gamearcade and home computer classics, as well as modern retro titles like the adorable 2023 Game Boy Advance platformer Goodboy Galaxy.

Blaze has been busy this year developing Evercade hardware and cartridges. In August, Blaze released Evercade VS-Ran updated version of its original Evercade home console that’s cheaper ($100). Blaze will launch on November 29th Evercade EXP-Rwhich replaces the EXP as Evercade’s flagship gaming handheld computer. Both EXP-R and VS-R are related to the recently released Tomb Raider Collectioncontaining cartridges of the first three Lara Croft games. The Tomb Raider series was the first Evercade cart to include original PlayStation games, but it quickly followed The legacy of the Kane Collection September.
