Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade roundup for August 26, 2024. No reviews today as I’m a bit busy with other projects, which means we only have a few new releases to look through, plus the usual list of new releases and sales due soon. Well, at least one new version is interesting. The sales list isn’t too shabby either. I’ll have some comments tomorrow, hopefully. Let’s get in there and see what we have!

Fragrant Story and Papaya Road ($7.99)
Ah, the sordid story fragrant storypossibly one of the final releases for the Nintendo 3DS. There’s a lot of confusion in this game, so let me clear it up. Although it was a seemingly star-studded tactical RPG, those who purchased the game at launch were surprised to find that the game lasted a full twenty minutes. True story? The Nintendo 3DS release deadline was approaching, so the developer pushed an unfinished game to the eShop. It was later updated to its intended version, a more substantial game lasting a dozen hours. So don’t worry if you find anything about this game to be ridiculously short. It’s not. This version is already packed with updates, and at eight bucks it’s a pretty good buy if you like the genre.
Quack Jump ($3.99)
A simple platformer, but packed with features. It tries to keep everything fresh by adding new tricks throughout the 40 levels. It’s only four bucks and it’s fun enough.
Subway station ($7.90)
It’s an idle game where you try to pay off your debts by working in a dungeon. It doesn’t look very fancy, but on a day when we have to wade through AI-generated dank versions of anime girls in bikinis, we’ll take what we can get.
