Apple Watch Ultra 3 design
according to BurundiMark Gurman, a reliable Apple leaker and respected analyst, says the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will no Get any major hardware upgrades. Therefore, Apple is likely to rely on a series of new software upgrades to make the Apple Watch Ultra 3 more attractive.

The Apple Watch Ultra is relatively new (launched in 2022), so the Cupertino-based tech giant might not be ready to give it a major design overhaul just yet. Gurman said that the main hardware upgrade of the current third-generation Apple Watch is the new chip.
Gurman said this is different from what we’ve heard about the Apple Watch Series 10 model, which was reported to have a larger screen.
Therefore, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to have more or less the same specs as its predecessor:
Interestingly, Apple is rumored to be planning to release an Apple Watch Ultra model with a microLED display, priced at $1,500 for consumers. However, this has reportedly been postponed to 2027.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 health features and sensors
Apple has reportedly been working on adding three new health features to the Apple Watch:
-
sphygmomanometer
-
sleep apnea sensor
-
blood glucose meter
However, Apple is rumored to be having issues with its blood pressure monitors, specifically the Watch Series 10’s design. Gurman said that, unrelated to the watch, the blood pressure sensor was too unreliable during testing.
It’s unclear whether Apple will skip the blood pressure feature from the Apple Watch Series 10 and add it to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 — Or give it up entirely.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 battery life
If rumors that Apple is delaying microLED displays until 2027 are true, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may not get the battery life boost many are praying for.

Currently, Apple claims that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a battery life of up to 36 hours. If the specs remain the same, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will likely have the same runtime.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Is it worth upgrading?
“If you paid $799 for an Apple Watch Ultra last year, it’s unlikely that you would want to buy this version,” Gurman said.
All in all, based on rumors and leaks, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 looks to be just an iterative update.
Rumors suggest there won’t be any major hardware upgrades, but hey, you never know what the Cupertino-based tech giant might be up to when it releases the Apple Watch Ultra 3 on September 9.
