This strongly proves previous report Apple insider Mark Gurman via Bloomberg. According to Gurman, Apple plans to launch a new Mac Mini that will not only be powered by the latest and most powerful M4 chipset, but also fully support redesign. The new Mac Mini M4 is said to be no larger than the Apple TV set-top box. This will be the first design change to the Mac Mini since 2010.
In order to make the Mac Mini smaller, reports indicate that Apple will completely remove the USB-A port from the tiny desktop computer. Apple will include 5 USB-C ports instead, which is likely what the “5 ports” reference in the code is referring to.
Additionally, this is the closest we’ve come to “official” confirmation yet that a new Mac Mini is coming. With Apple’s last event of the year set to be held in October or November, rumors are rampant, and it seems highly likely that the new Mac Mini will be part of the new generation of M4 Macs expected to launch in 2024.
