What happened before the Woodhouse family moved into New York City’s infamous Bramford Building in 1965? This is the horror story that unfolds Apartment 7A, one rosemary’s baby A prequel about desperate dancer Terry Gionofrio (played by Julia Garner).
Trailers for the latest movies remains Co-writer-director Natalie Erika James teases familiar (and weird) characters like nosy Minnie (Diane Wiest) and her eccentric husband Roman Castelveit (Kevin McNally). But this clip from the film shows that Terry’s troubles weren’t limited to the strange residents of a luxury apartment building near Central Park.
In the clip, titled “Show Me,” Terry is auditioning for a new musical. But a notorious ankle injury made it difficult for her to find work. Here she is tortured by three producers and casting directors who demand she show them the moves that derailed her career. Worse, they asked her to do it again and again. Each time, the callousness of the demand hits harder.
Beneath Garner’s smooth body and bright smile, there’s a hint of pain. Here, James begins to turn the tables, revealing how the cutthroat world of show business forces a young dreamer to achieve his dreams at all costs.
