Popular anime music parade!
The Bandai Namco Music Live Festival of Anime Friends 2024 kicks off at 6:00 pm, starting with a video introducing the artists. The lights then came on MindaRyn and he began his live performance amidst loud cheers.
The first song of the night was “Survive,” the opening song for “Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion.” Rock music pushed the scene to a climax and instantly ignited the enthusiasm of the crowd. Next up is “Daylight” (the opening song for Arifureta: From Ordinary to World’s Strongest Season 2), another high-energy performance. She switched to an acoustic guitar strapped to her back, changing her mood and singing “Fireworks” (the end of episode six of Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion) and her latest release, “Miracle Soup” ( The second ending theme of the third season of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”). Her voice carried throughout the space, mixed with a strange bubble effect, and captivated the audience. MindaRyn performs with the exciting “BLACK STAR” (the first ending theme of the tokusatsu TV series “Ultraman Blazar”) and “Like Flames” (the second theme of the second season of “That Time I Got Reincarnated”). The first ending theme) brought her performance to a successful conclusion.
The stage lights dimmed and Kita Shuhei’s name appeared on the screen. Starting with the Brazilian fan favorite “Breakin’ through” (the opening song of Persona: Trinity Soul’s first season), he went straight into “Soul Phrase” where the MC announced the third song from the set: “Sekai no Hate ni Kimi ga Itemo”, from the anime series “Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi 2”. choreography teaching. Kita Shuhei ended his performance by singing “Sekai No. 1 First Love”, the opening song of the “Sekai No. 1 First Love” series.

Next, she performed a cover of a song close to her heart: “The Biggest Dreamer” (from her SAYAKAVER. album; the opening track to Digimon Tamers). The Digimon series still had strong cosplay and karaoke performances at this event, which won bursts of cheers and applause for this song. Her last song, “Atlantico Blue,” was written nine years ago after touring in Brazil with the aim of “connecting anime music fans on the other side of the world.”
ZAQ was the next to take the stage, sounding closer to “Zakky” in Portuguese. She sang “Caste Room” and “Dance In The Game” from the “Classroom” series. She then sent the crowd into a frenzy with a cover of her own song: “Guitar, Loneliness and the Blue Planet” from “Bocchi the Rock!” After speaking a few words to the audience, she sang “Seven Gates” (the opening song of “Seven Persons Trinity”) and “BRAVER” (the opening song of “Shougeki no Soma: The Third Set”) ). Riding the crowd’s energy, she took it to the next level with her dazzling debut song “Sparkling Daydream” (the opener to Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions!), setting her apart from the next Artists put it all together perfectly.
The last solo performance was nano.RIPE. With great energy, the band took to the stage and began their performance. It opens with “Hanano Se” (the opening theme of “Kanakai Iroha”), and then goes into “Nanaise Miwazato” (the opening theme of “Nanise Miwazato”), “Kyokyo Industrial” (the ending of “Shokujirei”) song) plate), then segued into fan favorite (as confirmed by previous meet and greets) “Azalea” (citrus’ opener). Everyone cheered along with the chorus, and the stage was filled with smoke. They fittingly ended their set with “Last Chapter” (the ending theme of Shougeki no Soma: Episode 5). While viewers were sad to see them go, this disappointment was quickly replaced by excitement at the announcement of a special collaboration.
A rare collaboration not even seen in Japan!
The collaboration part of the concert kicked off with Sayaka Sasaki and MindaRyn performing “Snow halation” (TV series “Love Live!”). After captivating everyone with their powerful rock songs, they wowed the crowd with their lovely vocals. And, just like in Japan, during the final chorus, the entire space was illuminated by a sea of orange lights.
The artists didn’t even stop to soak in the atmosphere, with Sayaka Sasaki and Shuhei Kita launching straight into a high-voltage version of One Punch Man’s opening song, “THE HERO!!” The song became a hit around the world and audiences were clearly delighted to hear it.
MindaRyn changed the mood yet again when she performed her debut song “BLUE ROSE Knows” (the ending theme of “By the Grace of the Gods”) with ZAQ. While the pair have performed this version many times in the past, this is their first time performing the full version.
Not to be outdone, ZAQ teamed up with Kimiko (vocalist of nano.RIPE) to perform an energetic rendition of the iconic anime song “God Knows…” (the theme song from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”). Their sonorous voices overlapped perfectly, exciting the crowd even more. Kimiko and Shuhei Kita maintain this energy on “Omokage Warp,” the new opening song for “Kanakai Iroha.” The show ended with all the artists performing “Hanana no Color” (the opening song of Hanakai Iroha). They posed for photos with the entire audience on the stage, and brought the Anime Friends 2024 First Bandai Namco Music Live Music Festival to a successful conclusion amidst warm cheers and applause.
“It may be winter in Brazil, but it’s hotter here than in Japan!”
Even after the first day of concerts, there’s still plenty to do at the Anime Friends Convention. All performers held meet-and-greets on the 18th and 19th, and Shuhei Kita, Sayaka Sasaki and nano.RIPE also held a Q&A session to answer questions from Brazilian fans.
In addition to the Bandai Namco Music Live Festival at the Anime Friends 2024 event, nano.RIPE also held its own concert on the 20th, while ZAQ and MindaRyn performed two concerts on the 21st. Of course, these two activities were no less lively than the concert on the first day. Continuously and enthusiastically calling out the performers’ names led MindaRyn to say: “This is my first time in Brazil, but this country is the best!” ZAQ also mentioned “It may be winter in Brazil, but it’s hotter here than Japan!” “
Anime music is just heating up, so next year’s convention is sure to be even crazier!
