The album “comes from a vision David experienced while walking at night through a forest of tall trees, where he saw a bright light in the tops of the trees. As he recalled, the light became the lilting voice of Christabel , revealed a secret to him.
“The ellipse of time appears again and again in Chrystabell’s songs, appearing, disappearing, and circulating in layers of harmony and history.
“They are overshadowed by David and the late composer Angelo Badalamenti’s orchestration, waldeinsamkeit-inspired strings, dreamy guitar slides and clouds of reverb, whose melodies resemble the feeling of time suspended for a first kiss.”
Christabel is a singer and actress who has appeared in Lynch’s films Twin Peaks: The Returnand has collaborated with David Lynch on the albums “This Train” and “Somewhere in the Nowhere”.
Sacred Bones Records will release the album on August 2, 2024.
