Lionsgate hopes to continue John Wick Franchise rights and derivatives are all part of the equation. It’s easy to forget, but there’s already a John Wick introduction: ballerina. If you want to finally see something, the good news is that star Ana de Armas says we’re not far away from making that happen.
In a recent interview with Collider at TIFF, de Armas revealed that she was told the film would be releasing its first trailer “soon.” After seeing it firsthand, she was excited about it, although she admits she’s naturally biased toward it. She even called the trailer “beautiful” and that she was “very proud” of her work throughout the film. Speaking extensively about the film, she teased it as “very exciting.” It’s dangerous, it’s sexy, it’s sexy John Wick. I think people will be surprised.
Directed by Len Wiseman hell fame, ballerina The story is set between the third and fourth mainline films and centers on ballerina-assassin Rooney as she hunts down her family’s murderers. In addition to returning series stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston and the late Lance Reddick (in his final appearance) in their respective roles, the cast includes Gabriel Byrne (genetics) as the main villain, Sharon Duncan-Brewster (dune), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Catalina Sandino Moreno (from) and David Castañeda (The Umbrella Academy).
ballerina It was originally slated for a June release, but was delayed due to reshoots with the help of producer (and Mothership series director) Chad Stahelski. After the film was unveiled at CinemaCon 2024 in April of this year, it’s nice to know that we’ll finally get our first look at the film (and potential series starter) before its release on June 6, 2025.
