What is Amazon Prime Day? Is the situation different in Australia?
Prime Day is an annual online sales event such as black friday Or Click Frenzy, but only for Amazon Prime customers. It originally started as a one-day event in the United States in 2015, but has since expanded to a five-day event held around the world, including Australia.
The first Australian Prime Day event was held in 2018, and the scale of the event has continued to expand every year since then. Australia is unique in that it has one of the longest golden ‘days’ in the world – this year’s event lasted a whopping five days, which for us was five and a half days due to our time zone. This is because Australian users can get discounts on both platforms Australian Amazon website and Amazon Global Store until the end of the event in the United States.
also, Shop local businesses The store highlights some of the small Australian businesses that are also participating in Prime Day.
What products will be on sale for Prime Day this year?
While it’s difficult to predict specific products that will be released soon, Amazon has promised to offer deals on more than 100,000 products in Australia from big brands, small local brands and everything in between. Brands that Amazon has confirmed will be participating in Prime Day include Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Bose, and more—the list is quite huge!
Expect deals across all categories, including tech products like TVs, smart home, headphones, and games, as well as homewares, sports, fashion, beauty, and more.
How to find the best deals during Prime Day in Australia
Amazon is often the cheapest place to find specific products in Australia, but really good prices can sometimes be a bit elusive. Of course, our list above contains some of the best tech deals available during Prime Day. However, you can also prepare properly for your event to ensure you really get the most out of it.
Mix and match offer
Before Prime Day begins, you should make a shopping list of the items you want, then “wish list” those products on Amazon and set deal alerts on the Amazon app. This will ensure you don’t miss out on great deals on products you specifically want.
Make sure you subscribe to Amazon Prime or you won’t be able to purchase products at Prime Day prices. The subscription costs AU$6.99 per month, but if you just want to participate in Prime Day and nothing else, you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial.
It’s also worth spending some time on Amazon and getting familiar with its interface and how it works. This saves you time and hassle when the deals start to dwindle (many of which are only available for a limited time).
