Silver Sprocket , an independent publisher of alternative comics based in San Francisco, is launching Membership – a monthly subscription service that offers loyal fans access to all content they publish in print or digital.
Silver Sprocket physical membership subscription costs $39.99 per month, and digital membership subscription costs $14.99 per month. Physical subscriptions are currently only available to backers in the United States, but digital subscriptions are not region-restricted (although the site doesn’t know this).
The new subscription service appears to be a way for small publishers to keep the presses humming during a tough and expensive time for the industry at all levels. Those who dig the weird and alternative from the indie scene should definitely check them out and spend some money.

The publisher has been around since 2007 as an alternative arts and music label, promoting works that highlight punk culture, neurodiversity, queer lives and people of color. They’ve been steadily expanding their operations, attracting more attention and praise from critics in the process. They even launched a digital wing in 2023 for fans to get PDF versions of old and new releases.
