Considering this record-breaking opening, we’re guessing many of you saw Deadpool and Wolverine this weekend. Marvel’s latest blockbuster is the sixth highest-grossing film of all time and the ninth film ever to surpass $200 million in its domestic opening weekend. For an R-rated movie, this is quite an achievement.
But the movie does make you wonder about a lot of things. About the characters. About the Marvel Cinematic Universe. About the cameo. Below, we discuss all this. All I’m saying is, unless you’re one of the people who contributed to a record-breaking weekend, don’t read.
Why is Thor crying?
one of the earliest teases Deadpool and Wolverine When Wade saw himself on the verge of death, Thor was holding himself and Thor was crying. Mr. Paradox says it’s from the distant future, but we never get further explanation. Of course, assuming this is a future scenario The Avengers movie but we are just guessing.
X-23 is back, but so are the rest of the Resistance?
At the end of the film, Wade and Logan ask the B-15 to bring their friends back to reality from the void. We saw her do this in X-23, but we don’t know if she did it in Elektra, Blade, or Gambit. Assuming she does – but whether we’ll see these characters again, or if this is their swan song, remains a mystery. Our best guess is that Marvel has so many characters to choose from that they don’t need more.
Who plays the other Deadpools?
Deadpool Legion features many different versions of the character, and as previously rumored , several of them are played by celebrities. Mrs. Deadpool is actually Blake Lively, Matthew McConaughey is a cowboy, and Nathan Fillion is a floating head, just to name a few.
Will Stan Lee make a cameo?
Since Stan Lee passed away in 2018, it makes sense that he wouldn’t have a cameo in the film. But he does. He stood on the side of the bus in a Stanley Sternmer commercial during a battle with Deadpool’s Legion. Stanley, do you understand?
Who plays characters we don’t see, like the Punisher and Quicksilver?
Members of the Void Resistance mentioned that they had other allies, such as the Punisher and Quicksilver. However, in both cases, there are multiple actors playing these characters in Marvel movies and other Marvel movies. This means it’s never clear which version each is, but we like to think it’s Aaron Taylor Johnson’s Quicksilver (since Evan Peters’ version appears in Wanda Vision) and Dolph Lundgren’s version of The Punisher, just because that’s awesome.
Why is Channing Tatum the starter?
One of the more in-depth references Deadpool and Wolverine Channing Tatoo plays Gambit. Many Marvel fans may remember that Tatum was obsessed with the character for years, going through many iterations of directors and movies before eventually having to give it up. However, viewers who don’t follow pre-production movie news may not know this. Now they do.
Will there be another one? blade Movie?
One super curious moment in the movie is when Wesley Snipes says there will only be one blade. This is strange because a few years ago, Marvel specifically announced that multi-Oscar winner Mahershala Ali would play the character in the MCU. The movie has struggled to find its footing, though, and Deadpool’s lines behind the camera’s fourth-wall intrusion leave no doubt that Snipes may be telling the truth. But we don’t know.
Is Henry Cavill the new Wolverine?
The most surprising cameo Deadpool and Wolverine Here’s a simple example of how we see former Superman Henry Cavill play Wolverine. Wade assured him that Marvel would treat him better than they would down the street (DC’s headquarters for Warner Bros. is just a mile from Disney in Burbank, Calif.) and hinted that he would be back. Alas, while we’re not sure what to expect, we have a strong gut feeling that this is just another example of interesting fan casting, like seeing John Krasinski in Mister Fantastic . Doctor Strange 2.
How did Wade end up talking to Happy Hogan?
Although Wade’s world – the Fox Marvel Universe – is Earth-10005, at one point we see Wade talking to Happy Hogan on Earth-616, the sacred timeline. He begged and begged to become an Avenger, but in vain, and would never truly return. But the question is, how did Wade get there? This was a few years before he visited TVA. Well, if you look at his wrist in the scene, you’ll see that he’s wearing a watch from Cable Deadpool 2. So he uses it to change the universe.
Who are the other anchor creatures?
Deadpool and Wolverine The concept of anchor presence is introduced. Their presence helps hold the entire timeline together. On Earth-10005, that’s Logan. But, who is on Earth 616? Is it Tony Stark? If so, did his death begin the slow unraveling of this timeline? Or, if not Tony Stark, who would it be? Who are the anchors on other timelines? What happens when they die from normal causes? It’s a fascinating concept and we’d love to learn more.
Are Wade and Rogan both anchors now?
When Wade and Logan destroyed the Time Ripper, their universe was restored. So, does this version of Logan serve as an anchor for this timeline? Is it the two of them? we do not know.
What happened to Peter’s family?
We do know that while not a main character, there’s a Peter in every version of Deadpool. The best friend they love and trust. We wonder, is there some bigger idea? Do other best friends—like Spider-Man’s Ned or Iron Man’s Happy—have a similar impact?
What’s going on with TVA now?
So we know Mr. Paradox is trying to trick Wade into leaving his timeline so he can use the Time Ripper to destroy it thousands of years in advance. The plan ultimately didn’t work. But it does make us wonder, who exactly is Mr. Paradox betraying here? Is B-15 the only boss he surpasses? Would it happen if it worked? Oh, one more thing…
When did this happen?
TVA operates the same way we did in Lokiwe want to know if this happened before the event Loki Season two, or if Loki is going through this in the basement, still keeps all of these timelines together. Alioth appears in the void – maybe he was defeated by Loki in season 1?
What’s next for these characters?
as Deadpool and Wolverine At the end, Wade and Logan are living in the Fox timeline on Earth-10005 with Wade’s friends and X-23. Things cooperate. What we know now is that Deadpool, Wolverine, and their friends are all firmly entangled with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
