Some fans think they’ve found it, and the film’s visual effects supervisor Daniel Macarin Also teasing what it is, saying “once you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
A user on AVPGalaxy.net claims that a Starcub-class cruiser has been spotted moving away from the Renaissance Space Station.
The user also mentioned that in a scene with Kay later in the film (Isabella Merced) was locked in a room with an alien, and Ren (Kelly Spaeny) is begging Andy (david johnson) opens the door and you can see Ripley’s Narcissus space shuttle docked in the background.
So, what this means is that when the Weyland-Yutani team scooped up the expelled aliens at the beginning Alien: RomulusLater, they also recovered Ripley and Jones and kept them on board the Romulus for a while.
I haven’t seen these myself yet, but I’ll keep an eye out for them the next time I see a movie.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Macarin When asked if Ripley’s stasis pod existed, he responded:
“We did a lot of references. It’s always fun whenever we’re asked to put in Easter eggs. The hard part is not making things too obvious and not taking away from the story.
“So a lot of times, we’re like, ‘Oh, wouldn’t it be fun if we did that?’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, but you’re going to lose the opportunity. I don’t want to put something in there that makes the audience think, ‘Oh, look, “It’s right there”.
“Then people started speculating about it. They were thinking about it. So with (Ripley’s) boat, if you put it in a very small place, it’s OK. People who have been there two or three times will start to pay attention. To those extra details they might see, that’s nice.
“But any Easter egg has to be done in a very specific way so that you don’t take away from the story. You give it to the fans who saw it multiple times in the theater and give them something to ask questions about later. …but once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
