More than 30 years after The Wiggles first appeared on screens and stages around the world, the children’s educational music group is about to release its 100th studio album.
The 100th album is named Swing and learn, Following the hit YouTube series, The Wiggle explores numeracy, language skills, social and emotional development, healthy habits and other educational topics for young children. Anthony Field, the original creator of the Blue Wiggles and co-founder of The Wiggles, was involved in the production of all 100 albums and said the impact on The Wiggles and the children who loved them was huge.
“I went through these 100 albums and thought about all the work that went into it and all the fun that was in it, because it really wasn’t work,” Field said. “It’s something we all love, and the end result of these 100 albums is 32, 33-year-old kids dancing, enjoying music, discovering music, discovering dance and theatre.”

Over the years, original members of The Wiggles left and new members joined. Today, the Wiggles have eight members, including Field’s daughter Lucia, who joined The Wiggles in 2022.
“My dad asked me and I said yes without thinking, but it was the best decision I ever made. I love it,” Lucia said. “Honestly, even though we’re related by blood, I think it’s just one big happy family. It doesn’t feel like work, to be honest.
Due to the band’s long-standing popularity, The Wiggles embarked on a reunion tour in 2022 featuring the original band. .
“Kids who grew up with The Wiggles bring their kids during the day and they come to the reunion show with their parents at night,” Lucia said. “It was such a complete moment. It was so beautiful and so fun. The energy of watching the Wiggles concert that night almost made you feel like a kid again. It was great.

Tsehay Hawkins, one of the Yellow Wiggles members, attributes the group’s success over the years to their strong dedication to children’s learning and entertainment.
“I think it’s based on those four guys,” Hawkins said. “They all studied early childhood education, so they have all the background and they know what they’re doing, but they’re also four guys who love band music and they make a living teaching kids. They love it. I think that’s been the case for many years. .For us young people, too, I grew up watching The Wiggles, so I feel like we know firsthand what it’s like to be a part of that show now. The same legacy, which is pretty cool.
