While Baldur’s Gate 3’s 7th Edition is more powerful than Carah would have been if she competed in an Olympic weightlifting competition, and features a ton of additions, tweaks, and fixes, there still seem to be some things players were hoping for were left out. The main issue that’s still bothering people is the reaction of companions to certain Dark Impulse scenarios, with some BG3 players now urging Larian to modify the game before it’s taken out of the game.

After Patch 7 has been deployed, some players who prefer to take the path of redeeming Deji have begun to check out whether – in addition to adding all these new evil endings – Larian changes companions’ perceptions of your character’s past relationship with Baal is revealed The way they react, and if they resist the deity, they are resurrected by Withers. It doesn’t look like the studio is doing that, at least not in the way these players would have liked.
As a result, new posts about the issue have been popping up on Reddit and Larian’s official forums, and it has become an on-and-off topic within the community. A user named Sarene wrote in a forum thread: “I’m opening this thread in the hope of getting the necessary support and for Larian to hear our feedback on where the Dark Urge story needs to be improved before they finally abandon the BG3 update.”
“It’s clear that the companions are still lacking a lot of reactivity in scenes that are extremely relevant to the story,” they wrote. “Many of us were disappointed to see that the climactic scene in Resistance to the Deci changed in Patch 7. .our romance can express nothing until we die before their eyes.
“There are a lot of situations that could be improved by adding more dialogue and reactions, but at least I think the most important issues should be addressed in some way, otherwise it makes Deqi’s story limp and feel incomplete, which is sometimes the case. The lack of responsiveness is so obvious that it breaks the immersion of the game,” Sarene concluded. “It’s a shame because I think Dark Urge’s setting is great and makes our characters the centerpiece of the story. part and makes the story richer.
As of this writing, Larian doesn’t appear to have responded yet, so we’ll have to see if there is one. Since the studio has made it clear that there will be “more patches” after the 7th Edition patch, and modders now have more tools to try to make the changes people want to the game, there’s still plenty of hope for these Dechistans Reasons to be hopeful.
