A few days ago, a fairly reliable insider named Nate the Hate claimed that Mafia: Definitive Edition will be added to Game Pass this August. Thanks to a second source, we now have an exact date.
The source mentioned above is eXtas1, a company that has proven to be very reliable when it comes to all things Game Pass. For example, just recently, eXtas1 correctly predicted the date Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would be added to the service.

I can confirm Nate The Hate’s rumor that Mafia: Definitive Edition will be coming to Gamepass in August, but I’ll go one step further and tell you a ballpark date, which is that it will be coming on the 13th.
Remember, the crash should arrive around the 8th 🤘 pic.twitter.com/bJqLozfebt

eXtas1 also predicts that “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” will be added to Game Pass on August 8.
There’s no word yet on whether Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia: Definitive Edition will be added to Game Pass at some point.
It’s also worth remembering that rumors of a new Mafia game have been circulating for years, and have only become more intense in recent months. Adding the original game to Microsoft’s subscription service (which is going through some fundamental changes this year) could be another way to slowly build up new Mafia games.
Of course, this could just be because Microsoft needs to offer Game Pass, and publisher 2K is more than willing to take a bag of cash for a game that’s no longer selling massive copies.
