Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass, Bullet Train) and Tom Hardy (warrior, venom) is working with the director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, No Time to Die) adapted into a feature film Joe Nesbo crime thriller, There is blood on the snow.
Nesbo is writing the script for the film, which is set in Oslo in 1970, “where two rival gang leaders – Hofmann and the Fisherman (Hardy) – battle for control.”
The plot synopsis is as follows: “Hoffmann’s trustworthy killer Olaf (Johnson), is a cold, efficient killer, perfect for the job. But beneath his ruthless exterior lies unexpected wisdom and an unwavering moral compass shaped by a complicated childhood…
“When Hoffman orders the murder of his wife, Olaf’s principles collide with his loyalty. Instead of pulling the trigger, he hatches a plan that will make him the next target of Hoffman’s, in an unknown situation. With no escape left, Olaf forms an uneasy alliance that puts him at the center of Oslo’s deadly gang war.
“Olav was once a violent lawman, but his choices made him an unlikely hero in a world where good deeds are inevitably punished.”
It sounds like it’s going to be an intense crime thriller, and with a director like Fukunaga and a cast like Tyler Johnson and Hardy, it’s sure to be a great movie!
