HBO and DC Studios’ highly-anticipated Lantern series is heating up quickly, and the search for the perfect actor to pair with Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan just ended in Rebel Ridge (Rebel Ridge) found John Stewart in Aaron Pierre.
The DCU, directed by James Gunn, is off to an exciting start this year with the stylish animated series Creature Commandos. In 2025, his “Superman” reboot will become the universe’s first live-action movie, and “Peacemaker” will return for its second season. Next, “Supergirl” and “Lantern” will hit the big screen and small screen respectively. This is all moving pretty fast, and DC fans and casual viewers alike are starting to wonder if this is that Warner/DC is trying to build a shared universe that won’t crash and burn.

An exciting casting update was released on October 9 (via The Hollywood Reporter ), ending weeks of speculation and fan wish lists. Luckily, Pierre’s performance in Rebel Ridge , which premiered on Netflix last month, is topping many lists.
