
The Subdistribution Program, conducted by a large-scale publishing company, announced its first two publishers: Heavy Metals and Devils’ Deserve.
Massive is distributed directly through the moon distribution, but is offering a large-scale Indian program to provide smaller publishers in the consolidated portion of the catalog. Heavy metal and devil’s due materials are both high-quality creators – but with very small lines, Lunar is hard to pick up, so the program seems to make sense to everyone involved.
As Massive CEO Michael Calero explains, heavy metals and huge history. “A few years ago, Heavy Metal teamed up with Massive to release the historic final issue of the magazine’s volume one. Now, it’s exciting to be part of the magazine’s rebirth, working with Heavy Metal and the Moon to deliver these books to comic shop shelves and eventually fall into the hands of exciting fans.”
Heavy Metal has a long history, but recently rebooted Kickstarter, a new allegorical magazine, a giant 240-page version that raised $800,000. As part of the massive Indies, this issue will appear in comic shops.
