What is an abstract chain?
The summary is an Ethereum 2-layer blockchain developed by Igloo Inc., which was launched in January 2025.
Abstract Chain is the first new project of Igloo Inc. The purpose is to establish a “main consumer crypto chain” in which “cultural and community building and dedicated builders and brand support” are crucial to the way the chain is built, developed and maintained.
Abstract Using Zksync and eigenda’s zero-knowledge technology makes this consumer-centric approach a reality. As Ethereum L2, the summary also inherits the well-known security, reliability and decentralization of Ethereum.
In the future, the abstract chain will be powered by local tokens in the future – although details of the token (including stocks) have not been disclosed. Since the release of the official website, Abstract has introduced its abstract XP system. This will reward users who use the abstract application using XP points, perform abstract transactions and are active in the abstract ecosystem. These XP points are expected to be converted into abstract future allocation of local tokens.
So far, most of the popularity of abstraction is due to its relationship with the chunky penguins. The history of abstract chains
When Igloo acquired the framework in June 2024, the summary was officially announced. Development on the framework blockchain is coming to an end, and their talented team joins Cube Labs and Pudgy Penguins to build a summary chain.
With the development of 2024, expectations for abstraction are gradually increasing. Influential people change their avatar background to an abstract iconic green. Popular games such as Chronoforge announced that they will migrate the summary. Popular apps, tools and services announced that they will support summary launches – such as Magic Eden.
Hype grew further in December 2024 after the launch of Pengu (the official token of Pudgy Pudgy Penguins), and many people viewed abstraction as a chunky blockchain.
The summary was held on January 27, 2025 with the mainnet launch – but the results of the debut were different.
Many users have core issues such as the lack of a contract security scanner, failed RPC and unexpected Ethereum gas charges. Some even claimed that the popular relay tool had no abstract effect, resulting in a loss of funds – a user said the summary was “not ready to start”.
