Marvel brought Thunder* Hall H panel at Comic-Con this year, including clips from the superhero ensemble movie and the incredible cast playing Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), US agent (Wyatt Russell), ghost(Hannah John Kamen), supervisor (Olga Kurylenko), Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and sentinel (Louis Pullman)
Then there’s the Red Guardian (David Harbor), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and Harrison Ford Playing General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, President of the United States Captain America: The New World Orderwas confirmed this weekend to also be the Red Hulk. Ayo Edbiri Also a cast member, playing an undisclosed role.
While we did see some footage from the movie, there’s still a lot about the story, and the asterisk in the title, that hasn’t been revealed yet.
But David Harbor teased that the film will have a major impact within the Marvel Universe. He met with CBM at the conference and explained:
“Our characters are going to interact with something that we don’t really understand, and it fundamentally changes the course of how things scale. That’s all I’m saying. Oh my God, I’m going to get a call tomorrow.”
This may be a reference to Pullman’s character Sentinel/Robert Reynolds, who has been described as having “the power of a million exploding suns” and remains one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics. Or it could be something else.
I’m excited to see this movie and find out what the future holds for these characters and the ripple effects it will cause within the Marvel Universe. Thunder* Released on July 25, 2025.
