Multimedia collectibles brand Funko had a busy weekend at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), hosting panels, announcing video game details, and more.
To focus on the upcoming video game debut, funko fusion, the brand hosted a “Funko Fusion: Fan Festival” panel, which revealed previously undisclosed details such as images and casting choices. The centerpiece of the panel was the premiere of the game’s first story trailer.
And a pop! A hands-on, live experience inspired by Marvel Studios’ instant blockbusters Deadpool and Wolverine, attendees created their own role-playing character based on one of the heroes. Guests received exclusive packaging and surprise “Friends” collectibles, as well as options between Deadpool VIP lanyards and TVA-style equipment.
SDCC also provides the company with a platform to showcase new waves funko fusion Collectibles, and introductions to customers of Funko Fundays Digital Pop! (Funko’s digital collectibles and NFT efforts) and stage experiences.
