Deadpool and Wolverine will feature plenty of cameos, but some of them could be red herrings from Marvel.
In several of the trailers for Deadpool vs. Wolverine, it’s clear that its multifaceted story will feature more than one cameo from the X-Men movies, with one very important cameo already appearing in the film’s Revealed in the final trailer (seriously, you probably don’t want to watch that if you particularly don’t like spoilers). There have also been reports that a number of other characters will also appear in the film, with their original actors reprising their roles, but according to a recent interview with GamesRadar, the film’s executive producer Wendy Jacobson said that Some characters may have been planted with fake leaks, allowing fans to ignore the whiff of their real-life cameos.

Jacobson told GamesRadar that “to protect confidentiality, there may or may not have been some trickery and misdirection on the internet or on set.” She went on to say that she “can neither confirm nor deny any cameos in the film, but I’m going to That said, it was always important to us that nothing in this movie felt like a gimmick in terms of characters that might or might not appear, which was a collaborative process that didn’t fit.
Who Jacobson is referring to here obviously won’t be clear until audiences are able to see the film (it’s just days away from release), but essentially, don’t get your hopes up too much about your favorite X-Men in the movie somewhere shaky.
“Deadpool and Wolverine” will be released in theaters later this week, July 26, and will be Marvel’s first and only movie this year.
