Joe and Anthony Russell Will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to direct the next two epic Avengers movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

When we were making Avengers: Endgame, we really believed that this was the end of the road for our Marvel Cinematic Universe. We put all our passion, love, and imagination into The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and then culminating it all in Endgame.
All within a few years. We spend everything we have creatively and we throw all our emotions to the ground. But from that point on, we started to feel like maybe there was a story that would allow us to find a new narrative path. This is why we fell in love with comic books in the first place. This story is “Secret Wars.”

It’s great to have the Russo’s back for more Marvel movies! But the reaction to the Russos and Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Universe hasn’t been welcomed by everyone. Some fans weren’t too happy about this, with mixed reactions.
