Announced during the Women of Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Laura Kinney will get a unique solo series in Wolverine #1. Written by Erica Schultz and art Giada Belviso, The new comic will take place when Laura serves as X-23. She will also try to help mutants from abroad who are forced to use their powers against their will.
“We want to show you all the different sides of Laura. There will be laughter and there will be tears,” Schultz teased. “Laura has been through a lot, and when she meets other clones, she asks herself, ‘Is this who I’m supposed to be? Is that who I’m destined to be? Should I go my own way, or should I be like Like Logan? She decided to forge her own path.
The comic follows the release of the latest hit movie from the Marvel Universe Deadpool and Wolverine, Currently, the company has generated more than $438 million in revenue in just four days. In the film’s promotion, Laura Kinney (played once again by Logan’s Dafne Keen) returns to play the character, making Laura once again more popular than ever.
