Later this week, Blizzard developers will sit down to discuss what we can expect from the next season of Diablo 4 (Season 5). These are the changes coming to Season 5 of the game.
Diablo 4 has already hosted its Season 5 PTR, so the broader content is already well understood, but Blizzard hasn’t revealed everything yet – that’s what this week’s episode is all about.

We know that Blizzard will be hosting a developer update on Thursday, August 1st.
But what you might not be expecting are updates to the game’s unique items. Chief designer Adam Jackson posted a tease on Twitter, hinting that the fifth season will be an important item.
Will their powers become ridiculous? It certainly sounds like it. “Preparing for the Season 5 PTR live broadcast next week,” Jackson, who appears on most of the live broadcasts, wrote on Twitter.
“I couldn’t help but laugh at how crazy we are with these unique changes. It’s going to be a fun live stream, haha.
Community boss Adam Fletcher, who is hosting the livestream, is also excited about Thursday’s show. Jackson’s segment will obviously be the longest.

Interestingly, Blizzard seems to be working hard to make Season 5 even more exciting than most of us expected. Given that it’s releasing after a major overhaul in Season 4: Loot Reborn, and before the game’s first expansion pack, Vessels of Hate, is available, it’s easy to think that we shouldn’t expect too much from it. We’ll have to watch the show to find out what Blizzard has in store for us.
