
DC Studios may not have had a panel or presence at San Diego Comic-Con, but that didn’t stop them from announcing some big news. For example, yesterday in the annual “Jim Lee & Friends” panel, where attendees got their first look at the upcoming animated series biocommando and a new DC Studios logo.
Lee’s annual panel always features a variety of guests, and this year was no exception. Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamsonand Tom King Join the group to discuss the upcoming DC full input Special Editions and Absolute DC Editions, as well as other previously announced games and especially a new one. Snyder and Williamson will produce a one-off comic book, DC All Inclusive Special Offer #1, will be published the first week of October, and will be followed by several new DC “Absolute” universe comic books, as well as the beginning of new storylines in DC’s core comic books. king(wonder woman), Williamson (Superman) and Snyder (Absolute Batman) will be ALL IN with DC in the fall, so look for their titles and more to launch alongside DC’s All IN program!

Jim Lee and James Gunn ended the panel with a surprise, revealing that the powerful and iconic DC Milton Glaser logo will return to a prominent place at DC. We knew it needed to be something that was instantly recognizable, a Something that pays homage to the comics, legendary writers, and artists who inspire everything we do—including our own Jim Lee—not to mention generations of passionate and extraordinary DC fans.
