Written by Derek Kolstad John Wick Franchise and Action Movies nobodyhas set its sights on a new shooting game.
The scribes have come on board to adapt. ordered, a comic from upstart comics publisher Bad Idea. Kolstad made the announcement during a “Bad Ideas” panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
Kolstad is already in business with Bad Idea, working with writer Robert Venditti and artists Raúl Allén and Antonio del Hoya on a mini-comic series called Bad Idea dead planet. When he heard that Venditti was developing a new project, ordered, he wants a peak. He was curious about what he saw.
“When I read orderedI knew I had to adapt to it and tell the bad ideas they had to pry it from my cold, dead hands,” he said.
Bad Idea’s Deepesh Shamdasani and Benjamin Simpson are producing the adaptation.
It’s easy to see why ordered Kolstad will be interested because it explores similar territory where seemingly ordinary men are pushed to the edge, revealing their unsuspecting, shocking pasts.
The story centers on a priest who performs the last rites in a hospital and one day administers the sacraments to a dying patient. Patient confesses to being an Irish mafia boss and reveals his darkest deeds and secrets. When the man miraculously recovers, he soon returns to his old ways and sends his men to kill the priest who now knows where all the bodies are buried.
Here’s the big one, however: The chaplain’s collar wasn’t always white, because he was a former Navy SEAL who found his faith in combat. Gangsters, corrupt cops and a cop who wants to challenge the boss of the Irish Mafia will find out what happens when you run afoul of the priest.
