The next developer update happens Thursday, August 1. Thursday is a more popular time for these live streams, so it will be tracked. The show starts at 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UK. The focus of this issue is a little preview of season five.
This is also the live stream where Blizzard will discuss the changes made since the recent Season 5 PTR. Expect to hear all about game systems, balance (a big change this season), and all the other adjustments being made based on player feedback.
Community Manager Marcus Kretz and Community Director Adam Fletcher will host various members of the development team. As always, you’ll be able to watch on the official Diablo channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter.
Next week’s show will be the first since last week’s reveal of the Soul Child Taipan. Season 5 will be shorter than previous seasons to allow Season 6 to begin with the release of the Containers of Hate expansion on October 8.
It’s possible that, among other things in next week’s episode, we’ll learn the official full title of Season 5.
