During this period Transformers One During a panel at Comic-Con, a clip was shared featuring Starscream and teasing his storyline with Megatron. There’s definitely an interesting backstory there, but they tell it quickly in the edit.
Anyway, this clip is the first time we hear Starscream speak, and his voice sounds very familiar! The clip ends with confirmation that the fan-favorite villain is made up of Steve Buscemithis is really great!

Bee recognizes their leader as Starscream, but when Starscream orders the four characters to kneel to him, D-16 aka Megatron refuses. So the two end up fighting for the first time, with D-16 kicking his ass and damaging Starscream’s voice in the process.
“You guys know who that is? Steve Buscemi was the voice of Starscream. First choice. We called him and he said yes… I was A huge Lebowski fan so this is a dream come true.
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura commented overall on the film, saying: “The origin story is very rich. If we tried to do it in live-action, it would cost $500 million… ….you’ll really get the story.
“You know Optimus Prime and Megatron well, but we’re dealing with Orion Parkes and D-16. These guys are different, but we still plant the seeds to make you the character you love.
Cooley added: “These are characters we all know are enemies, but it’s interesting to me to see how they become enemies. I’ve never seen that in any version of Transformers before.”
Henry also talked about the story’s two protagonists, saying the way Orion Parkes and D-16 went from friends to enemies was “heartbreaking.”
He continued, “Losing a friend is one of the most heartbreaking things, worse than losing a loved one. Friendship is absolute family. I still think about the friend I lost in third grade…seeing these two Iconic characters actually had a friendship and then lost it, and it’s heartbreaking to see what that was.
Hemsworth went on to talk about playing Optimus Prime, saying, “What Peter Cullen has done with this character is so incredible and iconic, and it’s so exciting to try to play this character. Inspiring and terrifying.
“The goal was never to imitate or sound like Peter Cullen. This was the arrogant younger version of Optimus Prime, before he became the omniscient, omnipresent figure we know and love.
“Transformers One” will be released in theaters on September 20.
