The release of STALKER 2 had to be postponed again, and is now scheduled for release on November 20th. The previously planned September release date has been abandoned to give the game developers “the opportunity to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or just Like you said, just “bug”)”.
In case you’re unaware, GSC Game World has been going through a uniquely difficult development process as it develops the sequel to the original classic shooter, which launched back in 2007. Invaded Ukraine and moved to the Czech Republic. On top of the already stressful process of making a video game, these issues that need to be addressed and resolved will obviously weigh heavily on the developers, but it’s nice to see from this delayed reveal that they still seem to be in good spirits.

In the new trailer, a Reddit user shared an email they claimed to have received from GSC about the delay, and the details in it (at least in terms of dates) line up with what the studio has now confirmed for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is only about 40 seconds long, but has some good humor in it.
As a soldier armed with a sniper rifle approached a rather cool excavator, a colonel told him over the radio that “the area will remain off-limits until November 20th, pending the completion of official business in the area.” . The colonel added, “I want to better prepare you,” and the soldier responded, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Really? Again?”

Those last few words are the title of this trailer, so at least you can see that GSC Game World is having a lot of fun, even though all of its developers have been through war and even the fire of Prague.
“Stalker 2 is becoming everything we envisioned it to be, launch is just around the corner and we’re excited to share more with you,” GSC wrote in the video description, excited to announce the Stalker 2 Developer Deep Dive video , which will be released on Xbox Media Channels on August 12.
“This detailed update will include an exclusive interview, tons of new footage, and a full video walkthrough of one of the game’s missions. We can’t wait for you to see it and get a full look at how the game will look and play.”
So, there you have it, as you wait patiently to get what you’ve been waiting for, you’ll have something to look forward to.
