Marvel: Abrams’ past, present and future

acclaimed creator John Jennings (Marvel Super Stories, Kinship), Chris Riel (The Mighty Marvel Calendar Book: A Visual History), and Ryan Meinerding (Head of Visual Development, Marvel Studios) Explore the history of Marvel’s Super Heroes, their own personal histories working on Marvel’s acclaimed heroes, and how Marvel’s past impacts its future. Rick Parker leaves his mark

cartoonist Rick Parker He was a source of weird, wild, wonderful ideas, and he could draw. his graphic novel memoir draftPublished by Abrams ComicArts, it tells a poignant and humorous story about a young artist who is drafted into the U.S. Army during the height of the Vietnam War. This was a situation for which he was completely unprepared. Rick is working with Karen Green (Curator of Comics and Cartoons, Columbia University) and Charles Kochman (Editor) they will talk about draftscheduled to hit bookstores on September 24. artistnow on his drawing table.
Teaching comics to children with Meggie Ram

Meggie Ram (bat cat #1 and #2) introduces the importance of comics in early education, the relevance of early exposure to graphic novels, and how to teach elements of comics to elementary school students. Meggie’s presentation will be followed by a short workshop about their course.
