The Russian Federation’s attack on sovereign Ukraine has shaken the balance across Europe. War not only affects soldiers on the battlefield, its side effects also cover a wide range of entities; international organizations, national officials, rescue workers, volunteers. But the lowest denominator of war is often children. The smallest piece of the puzzle cannot comprehend the entire reality of which it is a part. Their experiences consist of brief moments filled with uncertainty, sadness, and often even happiness. As we follow a bus full of Ukrainian refugees fleeing to Finland, the film attempts to portray what’s going on in these children’s minds.
