After years of planning, anticipation and speculation, Deadpool and Wolverine Coming. The much-anticipated R-rated return of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s iconic characters had its world premiere in New York on Monday night and held press screenings across the country. This means that social media is awash with (mostly) non-spoiler reactions to the film, and as expected, the reactions are generally very, very positive.

#deadpoolandwolverine is the funniest MCU project of all time, and (of course) the bloodiest.

The combination of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as these icons is incredible.

It’s not perfect, but it’s an exciting theatrical experience and a step in the right direction for Marvel. pic.twitter.com/7jwAtRvev6

Deadpool and Wolverine smoke. Had a great time. And a love letter (hate that word, but that’s what it is) to the Fox-era Marvel movies. Based on Marvel’s sales, I thought it would be violent, but I’d say it’s the bloodiest of the three. #deadpoolandwolverine

    — Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) July 23, 2024

Needless to say, it will all happen that way #deadpoolandwolverine Absolutely killing it!

While Ryan and Hugh go all out, the R-rated action scenes are still as gory as ever, and the cameos when they appear feel like they mostly fit the story.

Yes, bigger impacts are coming! 👀 pic.twitter.com/uv1Wo4pyLb

Well, Deadpool and Wolverine have me excited about Marvel movies again. Funny, serious, irreverent, and reminding us of the endless fun that got us into these things in the first place.#deadpoolandwolverine

Landfill gas! Absolutely love it #deadpoolandwolverine – Yes, the cameos and surprises are epic, and so are the humor, action, bloody fights, and needle drops… but it’s the respect and love for the characters that wins you over.

This is the ultimate Deadpool movie. This is… pic.twitter.com/dhK1s6uh2O

i had a great time #deadpoolandwolverine. This is the best Marvel movie since Spider-Man: No Way Home. There was one scene where I literally screamed with joy. 😅I don’t know about Saving the Marvel Universe, but from action to comedy to unexpected drama, this is easily a must-see. 👌🏿 pic.twitter.com/6KGPADGE22

The Sweet Miracle of Deadpool and Wolverine Oh my God, what a wild ride it was. I’m not sure there’s a movie that makes me laugh, cheer, get excited, and bounce in my seat with excitement. What they achieved is a quarter of the damn history book! Crazy 🤯 #deadpoolandwolverine pic.twitter.com/PRk0x72IO1

#deadpoolandwolverine It’s a pure adrenaline rush from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with surprises so exciting you’ll jump out of your seat in the theater. Reynolds and Jackman are perfect, the hilarious duo we’ve been waiting for. Your body is not ready yet. pic.twitter.com/k7UIvIlCmd

My biggest problem is #dead Pool His sandbox has always been too small. But in fact, it’s not #deadpoolandwolverine
It’s a true love letter to the Marvel era at 20th Century Fox, and a strange, bloody, and surprising delight. Thank you for the miracle Jesus. pic.twitter.com/d1cpeNRp85

Full review tomorrow, we just came out #deadpoolandwolverine It lives up to expectations. The fan service is as good as it gets in almost any movie. You can applaud the Deadpool team for a lot of things, but the action is top notch! Get ready to cheer, laugh, and… pic.twitter.com/13MBEZeiPA

    — Attractions Magazine (@Attractions) July 23, 2024

#deadpoolandwolverine It’s the superhero nostalgia treat you’ve been waiting for. If you’ve been suffering from “superhero fatigue,” this will be a huge shock to your system and make you laugh, scream, and cry. 10/10 No comments. pic.twitter.com/5lXYFww2jR

#deadpoolandwolverine rule. The funniest movie in the series. Hugh Jackman gives it his all, and Ryan Reynolds turns in an even better performance as Wade Wilson. With some epic quips and the funniest cameos, there’s plenty you won’t expect. Just the hilarity you’ve been hoping for.

    — Ethan Anderton (@Ethan_Anderton) July 23, 2024

#deadpoolandwolverine is a bold movie from Marvel Studios. Extremely R fourth wall jokes can be traced back to the history of Marvel movies BTS. This movie so gleefully destroys the multiverse saga that it’s the only Marvel Cinematic Universe release this year. Astonishing.

    — Da7e Gonzalez (@Da7e) July 23, 2024

so #deadpoolandwolverine It’s definitely the hard R buddy action comedy that the trailers portrayed. It’s also a love letter to the Fox universe. Some jokes hit the mark, others missed. The story works, the cameos are great, and I love how everyone gets to make fun of themselves. pic.twitter.com/9Le5R7MMBE
