Speaking about her experience auditioning for the role, Donnelly said: “I really had to fight to get the audition because I wanted to be a part of it. [it] And become Superwoman in any way possible.

“I still don’t feel like it’s true, so it’s just an honor. I think they’re just going in a different direction, which is great, but everyone there is so nice and incredible. How good they are It’s surreal [Laughs]”.
She added: “It was cool to be so close and hopefully be in the DCU in any way, that was really cool. It was a great experience.”
When asked about Donnelly’s interest in other DC roles, she seemed open to anything.
“I think, yeah, it’s a case of wait and see who ends up in the DC Universe and the cinematic universe,” the actress said. “I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye on that because I’m just James Gunn. Be part of a team.
“Hopefully there’s a space for that, so honestly it would be cool to play any superhero on screen. There are so many to choose from!”
It was previously reported that the film would go into production after Gunn wrapped filming Superman. so, supergirl will be the next DC movie to go into production.
