Warner Bros. Games announced the acquisition of MultiVersus developer Player First Games.
Player First Games co-founders Tony Huynh and Chris White will continue to run the studio while reporting to Carlos Barbosa, vice president and studio head of Warner Bros. Games San Diego.
“Our team is excited to join the Warner Bros. gaming family and we think it will be a great thing for MultiVersus overall,” Huynh said in a statement. “We are working hard to make the MultiVersus gaming experience the best it can be, making it the best it can be. Integrating our development team with publishers is the best option for players.”

Games, added: “We have been working with Player First Games for many years to create and launch MultiVersus, and we are very excited to welcome this talented team to Warner Bros. Games. MultiVersus launches in open beta in 2022 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. A year later, Warner Bros. Games pulled it from digital stores but assured players that when it returned, all content would be retained. The game finally returns on May 28, with some extra bonuses to entice players to come back.
Warner Bros. Games also recently revealed that Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice will be added to the game as part of Season 2. The throne.
