Today, as part of the Tennocon 2024 celebrations, the development team behind Soulframe, a new online multiplayer game from Warframe developer Digital Extremes, hosted a one-hour livestream showcasing new gameplay, new locations, and gameplay ‘s opening moment.
The game begins with a small bird flying across a vast field, which quickly turns into a war zone, with a massive army attacking a castle in the clearing. The bird flies into the window and finds a woman holding a baby in her arms. The narrator then poses questions to the players, and based on their answers, the woman’s appearance changes.

The livestream then jumps to later in the game, showing off several key locations in the Soulframe world – Nightfold, for example, is a hub world where players can upgrade skills, weapons, and more. The scene then jumps again to the overworld map, where we see the hero wielding a great ax and engaging in open combat with a group of knights.
After freeing some of the captive animals in the cave, the hero is attacked by a giant boss character named Nimrod. The bad guy wields a giant forked weapon that can also summon lightning to deal massive damage. Once Nimrod is defeated, players will discover a cave where the ancestors are waiting – but the demo ends before we meet them.
At the time of writing, Soulframe doesn’t have a release window yet, but it was confirmed at launch that it would be released on PC.
