Unlike most shows, Days of Our Lives did not halt production during the writers’ strike. However, we hired replacement writers to keep things on track until the strike was resolved.
These writers introduce some new story threads, but they mostly stay put so as not to step on the toes of regular writers. As a result, the Theresa affair took nearly a year to resolve.
Finally, everything comes to a head and the payoff should be huge.

Teresa, Alex and Xander’s lives have been turned upside down
The past week has been all about setting up Theresa’s fall from grace, and Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate it’s going to be a huge event.
Teresa couldn’t lie her way out of the situation. Bonnie and Sarah realize she threw away Fiona Cooke’s wedding invitation, and when the woman says what she’s about to say, it becomes obvious why.
Hopefully Sarah and Xander’s wedding won’t be derailed for long. They should be happy forever, even if Xander has to adjust to being Victor’s estranged son instead of the black sheep’s nephew.

Theresa and Alex were already married when Xander’s mother showed up, but that didn’t mean Theresa could get away with it.

She can still reveal that Xander is Victor’s son, and she’s much more believable than Theresa.

For some reason, he turns to Ava Vitale for comfort. Man. Teresa doesn’t deserve it, absolutely not.
Gabby has her sights set on Connie, the backstabber.
New diva leads Connie to places she shouldn’t be
When Connie asks Gabi for a job seconds after trying to kill Rafe, I think she goes too far, and Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi will soon become suspicious.
The only thing unclear is where Gabby caught Connie. However, given how common things are in Salem, it’s likely that Connie will try to sneak into Rafe’s room to get the job done.
Instead, Gabby might be the latest to spot Connie coming out of “Everett’s” room, but that wouldn’t be as exciting.
Whether Gabi confronts her or bides her time, newcomer Cherie Jimenez has a chance to put Gabi’s fiery style into her own style and differentiate her version of the character from Camila Banus’ .
It was fun for Abe and Kate to break the fourth wall by trying to buy the rights to a defunct soap opera starring Salem characters, but things were a little slow going.

I’m not sure how Nicole’s plan will mess things up with Holly and Tate, unless she decides to move to Paris with Eric.
This is the most logical conclusion to this annoying Eric/Nicole/EJ love triangle, but Eric has already said he’s staying in Salem. Still, we should have that figured out by the end of the week.
Jada’s recent encounter with “Everett” left her uneasy
Bobby can’t hide his attraction to her
This true storyline started out more promising than other similar stories, but now it’s become silly.

Bobby was able to trick Marlena into thinking the whole idea of him being back in Everett was ridiculous, and he could never hide his attraction to Jada.
While it’s unclear what could have happened to arouse Jada’s suspicions, it’s possible he flirted with her or remembered something he shouldn’t have.
Since Jada will be following Gabi in the same week that she becomes suspicious of Connie, hopefully that means this storyline will wrap up soon.
Xander and Alex struggle to accept the truth
Alex is disgusted by his “legacy,” while Xander makes peace with his past
Alex should have it harder.
He’s nasty to everyone, especially Justin, and his whole life revolves around fulfilling Victor’s wishes, spending money like there’s no tomorrow.
