With the critically acclaimed Resident Evil remake, strong sales of Street Fighter and Monster Hunter, and the success of new creatives like Kunitsujin: Path of the Goddess, Capcom is undeniably on the verge of success. A glorious moment. And, with a host of new games on the way, such as the highly anticipated Monster Hunter: Wild, Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered, and Resident Evil 9, we don’t think the publisher’s winning streak will end anytime soon .
This week on Spot On, Tam and Lucy gave the iconic studio due praise and discussed what they’d like to see in the future. Will we get another Marvel vs. Capcom movie? Can publishers find ways to make mobile games work for them? Let’s talk.
Spot On is GameSpot’s weekly news show where Managing Editor Tamoor Hussain and Senior Producer Lucy James talk about the latest gaming news. Given the highly dynamic and never-ending news cycle of the massive video game industry, there’s always something to talk about. Unlike most news programs, Spot On will delve into a single topic rather than recapping all the news. It airs every Friday.
