My Marvel Strike Force adventure continues! The same goes for the shenanigans surrounding Deadpool and Wolverine — the new MCU movie looks set to be one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters, with its stars’ marketing savvy (and innate ability to chemical reaction) Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Add fun.
There’s also Marvel Strike Force, my favorite action diversion to get into the show with the new “Hotpool” costume and the free unlocks of two characters. Here’s a wealth of art and information from Scopely:
Starting July 22, MSF players will be able to attend Deadpool Pool Party, an in-game event inspired by Marvel Studios Deadpool and Wolverine.
With Nick Fury out of town, Deadpool takes over the Hellship and throws his own pool party filled with summer fun, party crashers, and mayhem! Can he and Wolverine beat the heat while avoiding Agent Coulson? Can they clean up the flying fortress before Nick Fury returns? Can they defeat the arrogant rich kids? What should I do if I run out of sunscreen?
In a series of narrative events that take place between July 22 and August 18, players must team up with favorite characters from the MARVEL Strike Force roster to help Deadpool save his legendary pool party. Replay together to unlock unique missions.

As part of the POOL Party summer event, players can unlock a new “Hotpool” costume in collaboration with the upcoming Marvel Studios “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie, opening in theaters on July 26th only.
Deadpool and Wolverine have been at the forefront of MSF over the past few months as they are part of two of the hottest teams in the game; Deadpool is the leader of Money Mercenaries, the organization that also Including Deathpool, Panda, Daken and Old Logan.
Wolverine is letting his Canadian flag fly with the new Alpha Flight team, which also includes Northstar, Guardian, Sasquatch and Sunfire.
I’ve always praised MSF’s character animation, and Sasquatch is one of the best in recent months, with old Logan subconsciously whispering, “Okay, boy!” before he goes into claw mode.
Pandapool is a true Marvel character created by.Robbie Thompson and Matt Horak…OK! For those who missed him the first time around, MSF has a reactivation calendar – and for starters, free promo codes will unlock Wolverine and Deadpool.

I love playing official Marvel Strike Force news because it’s also a chance for me to check in on the status of the game. My current total collection power is 45 million – I’m already in endgame mode, but given the strong new teams like Alpha Flight, I’m hardly going to be like a god. ; and over 17,000 golden workouts. This makes me a serious hoarder from a gaming perspective, but I’m spending $5-7 million a day on upgrades…and can’t seem to spend it fast enough. Having enough resources to level up new characters is satisfying, but…
Doctors Without Borders appears to have reached a crossroads with the announcement that the character’s base stats will be upgraded. This is the “power creep” that affects all games, especially mobile games. Last year, in an ongoing effort to create more powerful characters, the newest characters, including Money Mercenary and Alpha Flight, had extremely complex abilities, resulting in players like me (who were decent but not math whizzes) barely understanding how the characters interacted with the opposing team.
I do see Polaris starting to flip all the positive effects on opponents…a ridiculous OP mechanic that just comes with a regular character instead of a special “legendary” or “mythic” – when I saw that kit, I know Power Spread is coming to get a big boost. This monster is right next to Ares, a god-like character whose power levels will surpass anything currently in the game.
Médecins Sans Frontières has also recently been hit by the most public pay-to-play scheme in a long time. Captain Britain has just been introduced into the game as a new legendary character, but he can only be unlocked by spending real money (almost $300)! You can buy a new console for this! Gacha gaming is an expensive hobby, but there’s a lot to take in.
This is the first time in a long time that “pay to play” is so explicit in a game that it makes players… or me, uncomfortable. The game has become very player-friendly over the past 18 months or so (hence my stocking up on training pads), so the new money-making policy wasn’t entirely unexpected.
I still feel a little bad.
I’ve been playing Marvel Strike Force every day for over four years, much longer than any other mobile game besides Pokémon Go. Finding the right balance between oversimplification, boredom, and the frustration of no progress is always tricky, but it’s the dopamine key to any gaming achievement.
I’m currently saving my “Crimson gear” to try and get into Dark Dimension 7, but it’s going very slowly. When I unlocked Super Skrull in DD6, every other player had him, so I missed the chance to dominate anyone. Mephisto is the reward for DD7 and I would like to get him while it would give me an advantage…but I don’t know if this is possible. Dopamine fades.
If Reddit and Discord are to be believed, many MSF players are re-evaluating their recent commitment to the game. A fun event like Deadpool Pool Party can remind us why we loved the game in the first place, but let’s see how it goes!
Marvel Strike Force is available in the app stores for iOS and Android. “Didpool and the Wolverine” will be released in theaters on July 26.
