If you’ve ever wondered what Hellraiser 2 would have been like if it had come out in the ’90s, as much of the media that inspired its central themes and narrative did, then you’re in luck. Some fans have already floated the concept of a 16-bit deconstruction of it, and are even willing to work with Arrowhead to make their creations a true in-game event.
While new major orders are coming in, some divers have been a little distraught lately over data mining and potential war bond leaks. Unfortunately, by showing you this, I doubt I’ll be helping you focus more on how to direct the robots, since the strategy of splitting their power into two parts already works.

Without further ado, here’s a teardown of 64 Bits’ Neo Geo/Arcades’ Helldivers 2, which you can watch below. While this is just a teaser for a project being developed at Newgrounds, it’s being put together by a team with extensive experience in this kind of thing.
For example, they’ve previously put together renderings for games like Elden Ring on the SNES and Palworld on the Nintendo DS. As you can see, their latest does an excellent job of capturing the frenetic action of Hellraiser 2 and transplanting it into an old-school skin that somehow feels more like it was recorded at home 15 copies “Demolition Man”, just in case something happens to one of them.

“It was so much fun to make! We know this is just a video and not actually playable (although we hope to make more playable deconstructions in the future),” one of its creators, user nbshar, wrote on Reddit about Deconstruction s post. They also added, regarding that last part: “If Arrowhead/Helldivers found a version of the mini-game in Helldivers 2 on your ship, we would definitely say yes, haha…”
Obviously, they’re probably joking, but judging by the amount of money tagged on Arrowhead CCO Johan Pilestedt’s Reddit account, it seems like there are a lot of people hoping that the studio behind the hit FPS game will get in touch with them and call their bluff. After all, who doesn’t need more reasons to leave their transport ship less often?
